Squeeze by
Joshua Scribner is about a young man who feels compelled to squeeze a tennis ball, 24/7. Rather than take the hard road to uncover the reason for Ollie's obsession, the doctor convinces the mother to take the easy road. Too bad no one knew what that road would lead to.
Scribner is my favorite flash fiction writer. In just a few pages, he uses a basic setting with simple characters and manages to create some of the most powerful and horrific dramas I've ever read. This story is also quite relevant on a social level.
