THE THYME FIEND by Jeffrey Ford is a short story centered on a young man who uses thyme to prevent disturbing visions, but this is also one hell of a ghost story, complete with small town drama and more.

I recently read THE TERROR by Ford, and this is far better. I would love to read more of the author's stories with this writing style. The ending really took the wind out of me.
